Reports have emerged that a young South Korean has voluntarily enlisted in the Russian military and has been deployed to the field.
On the 14th (local time), Russian media outlet AIF reported, “A young South Korean has crossed over from Seoul to Donbas (Donetsk and Luhansk in Ukraine) and joined the ‘Piatnashka’ international brigade of the Russian 1st Army Corps.”
The young Korean said, “While living in Seoul, I realized that I really like Russia. Western countries are now falling into the abyss. The issue of LGBT is being promoted everywhere. It can be seen anywhere in Europe and the United States.”
He went on to say, “In Russia, traditional ways of life are preserved. President Vladimir Putin is one of the most stable presidents in the world, and I trust him. After my special military service is over, I want to obtain Russian citizenship and live in Sochi, near the Black Sea.”
He also revealed, “I am in contact with my family and friends in Korea via smartphone at any time. My family and friends do not know that I have voluntarily enlisted in the Russian military. I only told them that I was traveling to Russia. I didn’t tell anyone because I was worried they would worry.”
He said, “When I first joined the Russian military, I had difficulty because the language did not communicate well. However, I made friends by communicating with a language translator. The Russian military’s system for recruiting foreigners is not yet well organized. I hope the system will be better equipped in the future and it will be much easier for foreigners to join the Russian military.”
