Jill Biden introduced Rosé as a “global superstar who uses her status as a force for good in the world.”
She continued, “She has bravely shared her story with a desire to help others by actively raising her voice to solve mental health issues.”
She added, “I’m grateful that Rosé accepted my invitation to be here today, and I’m thankful to First Lady Kim Geun-hee for supporting my efforts.”
According to AP, Rosé said at the event that she feels challenged when many people show interest in her on social media, especially when they criticize her.

Rosé said, “No matter what I do, I always feel it’s not enough,” and “No matter how hard I try, there will always be someone who has their own opinion or enjoys driving the narrative about me.”
She emphasized the importance of discussing these issues, saying, “Just as we eat for physical health and fitness, we need to pay the same or more attention to mental health to maintain it.”
Rosé expressed her hope that her music, based on this, would provide inspiration and comfort to many people.
In response, Jill Biden said, “We too often hide these issues, keep them secret, and ignore them, but we can start healing by revealing them and talking about them honestly.”
First Lady Kim also said, “Korea has the characteristic of being a competitive society where everyone is very conscious of each other,” and “I hope that the problems caused by excessive competitiveness will be improved through various mental health programs.”
