In Seoul, there’s a French-run

place where you can enjoy authentic French luxury desserts.

I visited Cheongdam Guillaume. 🙂

The closest subway exit is Exit 4 of Apgujeong Rodeo Station.

It’s the closest one.

If you go up the alley from the Hakdong intersection Burger Ting, you’ll see a

lovely pink building.

In one corner, there was a photo zone decorated with flowers, along with

an outdoor terrace seat.

French bread and desserts

are often distorted in Korea, so

to enjoy the true taste of French bread and desserts that you can taste in Paris, France,

he opened Guillaume Cafe himself.

So, there is only one original, and

with the intention of making the original, he launched the Guillaume brand.

The brand that first introduced croissants, macarons, éclairs, etc., which we commonly encounter in Korea,

is Guillaume.

The opening hours for weekdays and weekends are different, so

it would be good to note that.

When I entered the store, it was crowded with many people.

Cheongdam Guillaume is a place frequented not only by influencers but also by

many celebrities.

Overall, the atmosphere was really good, so

it’s also famous as a blind date spot.

If you go up about half a flight of stairs,

another seating area appears.

As soon as my husband saw it, he said it was like a cafe in Europe.

Without spending expensive travel costs to go to Europe, it was a moment when you could feel the atmosphere of Europe for a while.

Inside the 1st floor,

there was a separate adult zone.

This place, from the lighting to the overall interior,

was filled with pink,

a space that pink enthusiasts couldn’t help but love.

As someone who also loves pink,

I knew I had to grab a seat here as soon as I saw it.

I settled in and first ordered the drinks: “French Kiss by Guillaume” and

“Guillaume Chocolate Chaud with Valrhona,”

and Honey Lemonade.

I decided to take a more careful look around

and choose my dessert carefully. 🙂

For your information, in the case of drink menus,

there were separate menus for take-out.

They were well-prepared.

When I came out to look at the desserts,

the first thing that caught my eye was the Stollen,

a traditional Christmas cake eaten in Germany and Eastern France during Christmas.

It seemed like it was released in time for the Christmas season,

which was not far off.

It seemed to suit the season.

There were also other French bakeries, but

since we visited late in the evening,

the popular bakeries

were mostly sold out.

So I turned my attention to the refrigerated showcase.

I took a look around,

The Guillaume macarons, which became more famous after appearing on “Heart Signal 2,” were available.

So my husband and I decided to choose one each,

and we chose Praline and Pistachio.

By the way, the macarons were

arranged in lovely color combinations and

could also be purchased in beautifully packaged boxes.

They also had eclairs filled with cream,

so I also chose a wild strawberry-flavored eclair Sophia.

They also had cakes from mini cakes

to larger-sized cakes.

Among these, the Lucie Cake

was a gift from Army to J-Hope,

and it was also featured in the live broadcast.

In addition to these, there were also

famous French desserts

displayed in one corner.

The design was luxurious and the configuration was colorful,

so it seemed like the person receiving the gift

would be very satisfied.

In the variety of financiers,

there were boxes of various combinations.

Among these, the Superfood Financier

is only available by reservation.

There was also a financier sound box,

with the best 6 types or 10 types,

or with a madeleine,

it was also gift-wrapped.

With various gift items available,

it seemed perfect for giving simple gifts

without burdening those around you during the end of the year.

There were so many types and they all looked delicious,

so it took a while to choose.

Finally, the drinks and desserts we chose

were all set on one table.

This was the Guillaume Chocolate Chaud with Valrhona I had chosen.

It’s the symbol of French top-class chocolate,

and a chocolate made with single-origin beans.

Stepping into Barcelona,

I could definitely taste a richer and deeper flavor.

This is what my husband ordered,

“French Kiss” by Guillaume,

It was marked as new,

so it was an easy choice to make.

It contains natural vanilla beans, which are ranked as the seventh most expensive ingredient in the world,

and the top is decorated with strawberry flavored chocolate,

so we could enjoy an even more luxurious flavor.

It was truly delightful.

This is a honey lemonade.

You can really taste the fresh lemon,

which makes it extra tart and refreshing.

If you add the honey that comes with it,

you can enjoy it in a sweet way too.

For dessert, we carefully selected

Stollen,

which is shaped to represent the baby Jesus carried on the back of a medieval monk,

so it’s quite unique.

If you look at the cross-section of the Stollen,

you can see that it contains raisins and pickled fruit,

which is quite interesting.

As time goes by, the flavors of the pickled fruit and butter seep in,

making the Stollen even tastier.

Enjoying the sweet Stollen,

​I could really feel that Christmas was just around the corner.

It was a truly heartwarming experience.

Next, we decided to try the macarons.

Guillaume’s macarons are made with free-range eggs,

He has been using them consistently without change since the opening,

which reflects his philosophy of respecting life.

This is the praline macaron that my husband chose.

It was absolutely delightful.

Nuts like almonds or hazelnuts

are caramelized and finely chopped to make praline

So it was characterized by a savory and sweet taste

This was the pistachio macaron I chose

The shell was really chewy

I could definitely feel that it was a macaron with a solid foundation

It was amazing!

We ate it all right there because it was delicious

For those who take out

Keep it refrigerated,

A refrigerated macaron

Leave it at room temperature for about 5 minutes

After it softens, eat it

It is said to be more delicious 🙂

Eclair

The appearance of the fondant reflecting light on the shoe

is said to be similar to lightning, hence the name

On the other hand, it is also used to mean that it is consumed like lightning in an instant ㅎㅎ

With strawberries, lychee, and rose water

I didn’t know how time passed.
