Samsung Electronics has supplied a giant smart LED signage for the ‘Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix 2023’ held in Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S.
The F1 Grand Prix, which took place over three days from November 16, is the world’s premier car race held in Las Vegas for the first time in 41 years. Spectators watched racing footage and more through Samsung’s displays installed throughout the stadium.
The most notable part is the ‘F1 logo-shaped LED signage’ installed horizontally on the rooftop of the F1 stadium building, with a total area of about 28,152 square feet.
Under intense sunlight, Samsung’s smart LED signage, boasting a maximum brightness of 8,000 nits and HDR10+ technology, is approximately 482 feet in length, longer than a soccer field. In addition, LED signage is installed on the ▲exterior wall of the F1 building ▲three large spectator screens ▲entrances and exits and some racing sections, allowing spectators to experience the historic race vividly.
The total number of LED modules supplied by Samsung Electronics for this F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix is over 25,000. When combined, they are long enough to go around the Las Vegas F1 track (about 3.85 miles) two and a half times.
Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics is also providing the best audience experience through advanced display technology at major sports stadiums in the U.S., including ▲the ‘Chase Center,’ home of the NBA’s Golden State Warriors ▲’SoFi Stadium,’ home of the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams and Chargers ▲’Allegiant Stadium,’ home of the Las Vegas Raiders ▲’Citi Field,’ home of the MLB’s New York Mets.
