[HeraldPOP=Image Reporter] The movie ‘The Admiral: Roaring Currents’ has released stills that allow viewers to experience the overwhelming sense of battle. The film depicts the final battle of Admiral Yi Sun-sin, who aims to completely annihilate the Japanese invaders in order to retreat from Korea after the outbreak of the Imjin War. Starting in 1592, the war, which was a long journey, concludes with the Battle of Noryang in 1598. If ‘The Admiral: Roaring Currents’ is a battle that takes place on the sea in the summer as part of the three-part project on Admiral Yi Sun-sin, with ‘The Admiral: Roaring Currents’ being the only winter battle. In particular, the Battle of Noryang is considered the largest naval battle in East Asian history, surpassing South Korea, and involving the three countries of Joseon, Japan, and Ming. It was a great challenge to capture the scale of this battle in the film. In the released stills, we can see the brave soldiers and courageous generals risking their lives in the midst of the fierce battlefield.
