A tragic incident occurred at a concert of American pop star Taylor Swift when a fan died of cardiac arrest.
According to foreign reports, including Brazilian daily Folha de Sao Paulo, on the 18th (local time), Ana Clara Benavides (23), who attended the concert held at Estadio Olimpico Nilton Santos in Brazil on the 17th, fainted during the performance. She was immediately transported to a hospital but ultimately passed away due to cardiac arrest.
Following her death, other concert-goers criticized the event organizers’ actions via social media.
According to their claims, the day of the concert experienced extreme heat in Brazil, with the perceived temperature in the venue reportedly nearing 140 degrees Fahrenheit. However, the organizers prohibited the entry of water bottles into the venue, which they believe led to her death.
According to Sky News in the UK, Taylor Swift paused her performance immediately after Benavides collapsed. She also promptly requested that water be distributed to the audience.
This act was captured in a concert video posted by a spectator.
